With so many family-friendly activities to do in and around Blue Ridge, it would be a shame not to bring your kids for a North Georgia Mountain experience. From scenic train rides to incredible hiking expeditions, there’s no shortage of fun stuff to do that the whole family will enjoy. However, if you are a parent you probably know that traveling with your little ones can be stressful at times. But the SoCo staff has got you covered! Keep reading to find out a couple of ways to avoid travelling concerns related to your children.
Meal time stress – Kids are notoriously picky eaters, so going out to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner may not be an option when taking into consideration your stress level or your wallet. Try bringing a cooler along with food items that your children like to eat. Use it to eat breakfast or lunch in one of our cabin rentals, and then venture out to Downtown Blue Ridge at night for some North Georgia cuisine.
Packing your kid’s gear – Having any amount of children means by default that you will be taking more than just your stuff with you when you come up to Blue Ridge for your getaway vacation. Minus the obvious necessities, you can reduce some of the junk in your car trunk by renting any equipment or clothing items that you will need when you get here. If you know you aren’t going to be back for a while, this can also save storage space in your home.
Sleeping Arrangements – By booking one of our Blue Ridge cabin rentals that sleeps more than just a couple of people, you and your kids can have comfortable accommodations without having to step over one another. Most of our properties have entertainment features as well, like foosball tables, pool tables and flat screen TV’s to keep the kids occupied when you’re not exploring the Trout Capital of Georgia!
