When you and your family make it to Blue Ridge this fall, you will probably be spending a lot of time outside. After all, the leaves will be at their brightest and most stunning, and the weather will be spectacular. There are so many great outdoor adventures to experience and activities to do, that you may not be in your cabin for too long. That’s why when you are, you should make the most of it with your family! Keep on reading for a few tips for family fun in one of SoCo’s cabin rentals.
Cook Lunch or Dinner Together – It’s always fun to visit the grocery store and have your kids help you figure out what to make for dinner. Try going a step further and involve the whole family during mealtime. Give the little ones easy tasks if they are young, or let them do the majority of the cooking if they are older. Who knew cooking could be so much fun?
Enjoy Nature - If you are like the thousands of other families that opt to visit the North Georgia Mountains during the fall and winter seasons, makes sure you take the time to get outside and experience nature at its most intimate.
Sit on your front porch and watch the woodland creatures scurry around, or gather your family and construct a fall or winter wreath made out of pine-cones and other items that can be found in the woods. Use those same pine-cones and roll them in peanut butter and birdseed for a spectacular feeding show right outside of your Blue Ridge cabin rental!
Board Games – It’s kind of sad, but the days of family game night seem to be a thing of the past. That doesn’t mean you can’t bring it back when you stay in Blue Ridge. Your kids will love spending time with you, and will love board games like Monopoly or Chutes and Ladders if they have never played them before.
So gather the family around your wood-burning fireplace, get something good to eat, and enjoy each other's company!
