On October 4 @ 7:00 p.m., fans of classic rock can head over to the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds for Mainstreet: A Bob Seger Tribute. There’s nothing like good music echoing through the hills on a cool fall night.
Georgia Mountain Fall Festival
The Georgia Mountain Fall Festival returns to Hiawassee for two weekends - October 10 - 12 and 16–18. This event is a favorite for locals and visitors alike, featuring arts and crafts, mountain music, food vendors, and cultural exhibits that celebrate the rich Appalachian heritage.

The Park After Dark
If you're looking for something unique, don’t miss The Park After Dark on October 9 @ 7:00 p.m.. Held in the serene Hamilton Gardens at the fairgrounds, this event offers a magical nighttime experience under the stars with lights, music, and a peaceful ambiance you won’t soon forget.

Georgia Apple Festival
October wouldn’t be complete without the Georgia Apple Festival in Ellijay, taking place the weekends of October 11–12 and 18–19. With hundreds of vendors, homemade treats, and all things apple, it’s a can't-miss fall tradition for couples, families, and foodies alike.

November marks the change to wintertime fun!
As leaves fade and cooler days settle in, November in North Georgia blends natural beauty with early holiday celebrations. Here are a few events and seasonal highlights to consider:
Ray LaBean live at Kerith House
Enjoy the soulful sounds of local Ray LaBean, a country, rock and roll, folk, gospel, and Christian contemporary guitarist and singer. He'll be in Morgantown at the Kerith House on November 1, 2025.

Bigfoot Boogie 5K
A part of the Riverwalk Run Series, the Bigfoot Boogie 5K, November 8, 2025 is a great fall event to get you out and enjoying the foliage and turn toward winter in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This is America's only 2-state 5K bringing you through McCaysville, GA, and Copperhill, TN.

Light Up & Holiday Kickoffs
Kick off the holiday season during Thanksgiving weekend in downtown Blue Ridge, November 28-29. Expect live music, vendors, a Christmas parade, and the lighting of the Great Tree.

Holiday Market
Get into the spirit of the season at the Holiday Show & Sale, hosted by the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association in downtown Blue Ridge. From November 16 through December 20, the gallery transforms into a festive marketplace filled with handcrafted gifts, artwork, pottery, jewelry, and holiday décor made by local and regional artists. It’s the perfect spot to find one-of-a-kind treasures and support North Georgia’s creative community.
