10. Chasing Waterfalls – Don't Expect Me Home Anytime Soon  

The Blue Ridge Mountains are home to dozens of waterfalls that have accessible hiking trails for all skill sets and will satisfy the avid adventurer or outdoorsman. Amicalola Falls State Park is home to the tallest cascading waterfall in the Southeast. The drop is approximately 729 feet with seven cascades.  

Another highly recommended fall to visit is Long Creek Falls. If you're up for a little hiking and a magnificent view at your destination, the Long Creek Falls is worth the trip. At the heart of three Forks meeting the Appalachian, Benton Mackaye, and Duncan Ridge trails you have plenty of outdoor fun for the day!

All aboard! Located in downtown Blue Ridge this Scenic Railway is an excellent excursion for the whole family to enjoy.
